How sample data works

Opt-in only

Sample data never appears by default. You create it from the empty state of any module, or from Settings → Sample data.

Always labelled

• Every sample record carries an is_sample flag in the database.
• Sample text is prefixed with [SAMPLE].
• Pages displaying sample records show a 'Sample data is shown for exploration only' notice.

Removing sample data

Open Settings → Sample data, review the per-table count, and click 'Delete sample data'. Only records with is_sample = true are removed; your real data is untouched.
